Array Augments Staff with Key Project Management Hires
BEACHWOOD, OH – Array Healthcare Facilities Solutions, a leading national healthcare architecture, interior design, planning and advisory services firm, has strengthened its Midwest project team with three key appointments: Randall VonRyan, AIA; Marko Lukosky, AIA; and Susan Pon-Biscoe.
“With the emergence of Integrated Project Delivery as a preferred project delivery model as well as a continued emphasis on patient amenities in our work, we have seen a significant need to further diversify the in-house talents offered by Array’s Midwest Practice,” notes Array Principal and Vice President, Midwest Practice, Christopher Trotta, AIA. “To continue our mission of delivering remarkable, business-justified, and strategy-driven facilities solutions to our healthcare clients, it was necessary to introduce added depth to our talented pool of design and project management professionals.”
Randall Von Ryan, AIA: Project Manager
As Array’s newest Project Manager, Von Ryan will lead the firm’s Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model, an emerging best-practice approach to project development in the A/E/C industry. He joins Array following a successful series of projects both independently and at internationally-acclaimed A/E firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill’s Chicago practice. Von Ryan has prior Ohio experience as in-house Director of Architecture and Planning at the Cleveland Museum of Art for nearly a decade.
“We were very careful over who we selected to champion our IPD efforts”, explains Array President, Carl Davis. “Success with this model requires a significant departure from the traditional project development process. In addition to new thought leadership for our firm, Randy brings the communication, collaboration, and strategic vision required to facilitate this cultural shift. We are excited to witness the growth of this new practice on the firm’s first IPD project, for Lorain-based Community Health Partners”.
Marko Lukowsky, AIA: Project Architect / Designer
Lukowsky brings more than thirty years of design and technical execution experience to Array, with specific expertise on facilitating stakeholder decision-making through cutting-edge visuals. He has worked for several of the region’s largest firms, providing service to numerous clients throughout Central and Northeastern Ohio on a broad spectrum of residential-, mixed-, and public-use projects.
“Having previously worked with Marko, I have always admired his design sense, technical precision, and client management abilities”, adds Trotta. “When the opportunity to introduce his talents to Array arose, I jumped at the chance to augment our firm’s strengths with his expertise”.
Susan Pon-Biscoe: Interior Designer
Pon-Biscoe, a recent transplant from New York City, brings more than two decades of hospitality-infused interior design dexterity to the Midwest healthcare market. With a design aesthetic honed by tenure at international interior design leader, Gensler, her portfolio includes a veritable who’s who of award-winning workplace environments including CondeNast, Citicorp, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nielson, and ConEdison. Her international designs also include significant projects in Sydney, Australia and Kuwait City, Kuwait as well as past work at Cleveland’s Public Library.
“The chasm between commercial and healthcare design used to be tremendous”, notes Patricia Malick, AAHID, EDAC, Founding Principal of Array’s Interior Design Practice. “Today, however, so many key design tenets—including access to light, indoor environmental quality, and occupant amenities—are increasingly universal elements in contemporary design. We really welcome Susan’s perspective towards the continued evolution of our firm’s design philosophy”.
All three joined the firm in January 2010.
