Array Announces New Shareholders

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (June 2008) – Array Healthcare Facilities Solutions, a leading national healthcare architecture, interior design, planning and advisory services firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new shareholders:

Joseph Doherty, AIA, LEED AP joined Array in 2005 as a Senior Project Manager.  In early 2007, he was promoted to Core Team Leader, running an interdisciplinary studio focused on a specific set of clients.  Clients currently serviced through his team include Holy Redeemer Health System (PA), Christ Hospital (NJ), Shriner’s Hospital for Children (national) and Universal Health Services (national).  He has a particular expertise in projects planned to treat behavioral health patient populations.

Doherty received a BA in Design from the University of Pennsylvania and a BArch from Drexel University.  He began his career with several local firms where he first developed his healthcare focus.  Doherty was a Project Manager at Francis Cauffman Foley Hoffman prior to joining Array.  A life-long resident of the Philadelphia Area, Doherty now resides in Conshohocken, PA with his wife Megan, and son Edward.  He is actively involved with the Conshohocken Historical Society and the Wissahickon Ski Club.

“Joe was a natural choice to make shareholder.  From the beginning, he provided Array with solid project management skills and a strong business development acumen”, says Array President, Carl Davis.  “He has augmented our already impressive list of clients with additional high-profile systems that will benefit from his continued leadership.”

Jon Sell joined Array after receiving a BArch from Temple University in 1996.  In 2000, he continued his exclusive focus in healthcare planning and design for four years at HLM Design Group before returning to Array as a Project Designer.  Since his return, Sell has developed specific expertise in the planning and design of large-scale Greenfield facility projects—including those dedicated to behavioral health and physical rehabilitation.  Sell’s recent work includes replacement hospitals for Capital Health System (NJ), Delaware Psychiatric Center (DE), and North Shore Long Island Health System (NY).

Sell is originally from Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, but has since settled in Abington, PA.  Sell’s wife Elizabeth, a Communications Director for Aetna, recently delivered the couple’s first child, daughter Emma.

“Since he started, Jon has been a very special protégé to me”, says Douglas Lindsay, AIA, a cofounder and CEO of Array.  “While I have seen the caliber of his design improve one year over the next, this insight and understanding of the current state of healthcare design is eclipsed only by his vision for the future of our profession”.
